Editor of the Year will be presented to the editor who has demonstrated the best leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in covering business travel and meetings & events news and stories.
Judges will be looking for editors that can show how they’ve understood the needs of their audience and introduced new features, columns or digital content that has resonated with readers.
Successful submissions will demonstrate how the editor has adapted and refreshed their publication to increase audience share either through or a combination of new print, website, social and event content.
Editorial Team of the Year will be presented to the editorial team that provided the most insightful and in-depth analysis in covering business travel and meetings & events stories, bringing new topics and perspectives to the fore while provoking debate on key issues within the travel industry.
Presented to the journalist who has provided the most insightful analysis and commentary on meetings & events related topics.
Judges will be looking for submissions that demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the industry, and reward those that demonstrate creativity, originality and the ability to bring to life and raise awareness of key meetings & events topics.
Presented to the journalist that has excelled in covering the news agenda for the business travel industry over the past 12 months. The award will recognize the journalist that has consistently provided their readers with the biggest and most important stories delivered to a high editorial standard.
In this broad category judges will reward entries that show evidence of strong news gathering, whether that's exclusive scoops, interviews with leading names within business travel, investigative news, first with breaking stories or showing how they always go 'beyond the press release'.

Presented to the journalist who has provided the most insightful analysis and commentary on aviation topics in a compelling and creative manner.
Presented to the journalist who has provided the most insightful analysis and commentary on ground transportation related topics in a compelling and creative manner.
Presented to the journalist who has provided the most insightful analysis and commentary on a business travel and/or conference and incentive destination in a compelling and creative manner.
Presented to the journalist who has provided the most insightful analysis and commentary on travel technology and innovation related topics in a compelling and creative manner.
Judges will be looking for features about sustainability in business travel that are well-researched and original. They’ll reward entries that raise awareness of the key issues around sustainability and those that inspire action and/or provide new research or thinking on this increasingly important and hot topic.
Presented to the journalist or team who have embraced digital mediums of communication and provided the best and most creative initiatives to convey business travel related news, insights and perspectives. This can include, but not limited to, podcasts, vlogs and other online media.
Submissions should show a breadth of knowledge about the industry, offering commentary and fresh insight into some of the hottest topics within business travel over the past 12 months.
Judges will reward entries that are entertaining, informative, thought-provoking and provocative.
